GREEN Foundation empowers farming communities through training for sustainable agriculture to adopt environmentally friendly and profitable practices. In 2011, over 450 training sessions taught farmers techniques like creating biopesticides, making organic fertilisers, and methods such as Guli and SRI for ragi and paddy cultivation. Farmers also learn seed storage, and crop improvement, and are educated on the benefits of sustainable agriculture. Exposure visits enable farmers to see sustainable practices firsthand, fostering understanding and enthusiasm for concepts like seed banks and organic certification. GREEN Foundation facilitates 6-8 exposure visits annually, encouraging knowledge exchange and helping farmers choose indigenous crops suited to their region, ultimately promoting sustainable agricultural practices. https://greenfoundation.in/training-and-exposure-visits
